Individuality

Where we began

Axess Ability was established in 2014 by Nigel Head and Michelle Scarlett, inspired by the voices of four families seeking something different. These families, each supporting a loved one with a disability, shared a common frustration with the impersonal nature of existing services. They longed for care that was more personal, respectful, and tailored to individual needs. Motivated by their passion and trust, Nigel and Michelle founded Axess Ability — a service built on genuine connection, community, and choice.

Where we go from here

As Axess Ability continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to provide personalised, meaningful support that truly makes a difference. We hope to expand our reach to support more families and individuals, while holding firmly to the values that shaped us from the start. Every new connection is an opportunity to build trust, foster independence, and create a sense of belonging — one tailored support at a time.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to past and current participants, their families, and trusted individuals for their invaluable support and contributions to Axess Ability. Your feedback has helped shape this organisation, and we remain dedicated to working closely with you to offer the best support and services. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
